If you can’t be happy today, when will you be?

One of the most important things that someone ever told me. And its something a remind people off (when I put on my life consultant hat.) Take a look around and realize that you can be happy now. Focus on what is good and make more of it. Make more of it for others and you will see even more of how great it is.

So my challenge to you is to be be happy with everything in your life. Be grateful for all of it. Learn from every bite and then be happy.

Turning Negative Relativism into Positive Perception

If you take a look at your life can you notice the comparisons. Do you compare your life to those around you? More importantly, due the results of this comparison determine your happiness?

Frequently we use our sense of perception of others “success” to determine where we sit. We hear other people’s success and feel like we are lacking. We experience other people’s failures and feel good about our own. Wouldn’t it be better to move past this?

When we change our perception in a way that looks more like Jesus Christ things become the complete opposite. We can perceive other success with joy. We can model what lead to their success and implement it in our lives and the lives of others. We can even then began a journey of compassion when others have failed.

This Week: Reframe your perception to the positive. Find good in the bad and strive to consciously focus and act towards the good in yours and others lives.

Moving Past Should

Mynde Mayfield writes:

“Anytime we are using the word “should” we are in expectation which means our focus has become too narrow and often fixed or attached to a single outcome. ”

I used to limit what I could do. I used to guilt myself into what I SHOULD do.

Ask yourself how would your actions change if you choose or allow yourself to do things. Next time you have a thought of what you should do. Ask if you really do choose to do that and then consciously decide to allow yourself to do it or not.

You will be pleasantly surprised what comes out of it.
